Carina Heights is a residential suburb in the City of Brisbane. It is located 8 kilometres southeast of the Brisbane central business district. Carina Heights is surrounded by suburbs; Carina, Carindale, Mansfield, Mount Gravatt East, Holland Park and Camp Hill.

In 2011, Carina Heights had a population of 6,110 people, 52.5% were female and 47.5% were male. The suburbs median age was 35 years, 2 years younger compared to the national median. 72.3% of the Carina Heights population was composed of people who were born in the country and 80.8% was made up of people who spoke English at home. After 5 years, the population moved up to 6,732 residents.

Carina Heights is named after Carina, these two suburbs formally separated in 1975.

As a fact, some of the street names in the suburb are the surnames of former members of the Queensland Legislative Assembly including; Buckley Street, Chataway Street, Jones Road, Macalister Street, Maughan Street, Summerville Street, etc. Some were derived from World War I. These include; Anzac Road, Birdwood Road, Gallipoli Road, Mons Road, Salonica Road and Vickers Street.
