Suburb Profile

Pool builders Norman Park, Brisbane

Norman Park is just a quick four-kilometre drive from the Brisbane CBD. Neighbours with other notable Brisbane suburbs like East Brisbane, Coorparoo, Camp Hill, Morningside, and Hawthrone, Norman Park is a primarily residential suburb housing more than 6,000 people.

Like the nearby Norman Creek, the suburb of Norman Park is named after a former Governor of Queensland H.W. Norman. Governor Norman built an estate in the area back in 1890s.

The entire Norman Park area was deemed rural until after the Second World War. Developments came rushing in the suburb after public housing was built and the lands for parks and playing fields followed in the 1950s.

Norman Park is a great suburb for cyclists looking for variety and a bit of a challenge. From the flat terrain in the suburb's floodplains, cyclists can head up to Coorparoo and to East Brisbane where the terrain could get a bit hilly. A bit of an advice though; cyclists may consider avoiding the busiest streets in Norman Park like the streets of Canara, Crown, Macrossan, Bennetts and Wynnum. There are more areas where cyclists can go and roam around the suburb. These areas are also friendly to people who likes taking a walk, to hang back and ponder deep thoughts.

Homes in Norman Park are built strong and filled with great people. The citizens who choose to settle down in Norman Park is most likely attracted to the fact that it presents quiet nights, and mornings full of opportunities.
